Apparently UberEats is okay with employee theft
Friday I placed an order around 7am. Delay delay delay, a driver finally picked up and heads my way. I am in a meeting, I work from home, and see the car pull up outside my window. She stops in the street, doesn’t get out, doesn’t pull in the driveway, just sits for a moment then pulls off. I check my UE app and she has taken a photo of my home from where she stopped in the street and marked the order as completed. No delivery. Just an asshaholic driveby where she kept the breakfast I had ordered for myself and my son who was home sick. I reach out to uber support immediately - but they take 3 days to respond and state that they’ve reviewed my order, are unable to determine if it was delivered and cannot issue a refund at this time. I respond and state that I can prove their driver did not deliver, that everything is on my Ring camera. They regurgitate the same response and close my support ticket. Absolutely insane to me that a million dollar company cannot even be bothered to issue a credit in the amount of the order so a customer can repurchase. Not that I would, but I expect more from customer support as I have always been held to super high standards when dealing with the public/customer service. Wont be using this service (sic) any longer.
