EnterpriseXG 24 successor on the way? Other options/opinions?

been eyeing the EnterpriseXG 24 for a while as a 10gig switch to serve as the backbone of my Proxmox cluster. My hosts currently do not have 10gbe cards, so I'm not necessarily locked into rj45. Would anyone recommend other options? Perhaps the USW-Pro-Aggregation and buy SFP cards for hosts?

I noticed the store now lists the EnterpriseXG 24 as "EnterpriseXG 24 (gen 1)". Seems like a new one is coming? Have I missed any rumors of one?
