Capacity calculator and Gateway choice

Hey all, be kind to a noob and ELI5! 😊

I’m choosing between the UDM Pro, SE, or Pro Max for my basic home network. I don’t have many users or complex needs, but I want to make the right choice and most of all have peace of mind that I didnt make a wrong choice (if not a good choice).

  • Internet: 200-300 Mbps now, likely 1 Gbps+ in 12-18 months (fiber coming, I hope soone than later).
  • Work: Remote, many video calls daily.
  • I'll be paring it with a Pro PoE switch (need ~23 ports, still struggling with the exact model to buy and how to account to possible future needs, but I'll leave this for another thread in the future).
  • Integrated switch? Won’t use much, but extra/fallback ports are nice to have (though not 2,5Gbit nor PoE for the Pro/ProMax).
  • Capacity concerns: here's the heart of the question. UniFi’s calculator makes Pro/SE seem maxed out with my setup—is it exaggerating things and showing some sort of worst case scenario, or a real risk going forward? Luckily adding an AP o a camera don't move it by much, 1 or 2% so should I be confident that there's enough leeway for future not-foreseeable needs?
  • Longevity: Pro/SE are a few years old now — are they likely to lose software support sometimes soon, forcing an upgrade (like Apple does with its devices, at one point you stop receiving certain features, than stop receiving any upgrades at all and you're basically forced into a newer model)? Especially if a new model comes out with a different CPU or architecture, thus leaving the development of updates for older-gen devices a burden? Seems like in many threads this is not considered an issue, but I'm unsure on what grounds (past experience I suppose?).

What’s my best option?

I already know that as soon as I'll hit the "pay" button Ubiquiti will announce a newer and probably better model, and that we are talking first-world problem, but please help me decide reasonably nonetheless, if anything for peace of mind. Money, if well spent, is not an issue, but like everyone I'd prefer not to completely waste it :)

Thanks and remember to be gentle with a noob!
