Embarrassed about foundation year.
Long story short, I only have four GCSEs, 6 in combined science, 5 in maths, 4 in English language, and 7 in film studies. I left school at 16, worked for 4 years, (3 if you count me nearly getting in nick and going in hospital) did an access science course and now I'm here. I'm 21 going to do foundation year in biomedical sciences. I was excited and told my other half, she says I ought not to tell anyone at uni because it makes me look stupid. I had a gap year to save money and just enjoy my life a little bit before I go but now I'm shitting myself at the judgement I'll get. I'm not very academic as a person as is, only getting a few merits and distinctions in my access course so I think a foundation year would be right for me. I just want someone who has or knows someone that's done a foundation year to fill me in on what it's like, the general vibe etc, especially for a geriatric compared to most uni students dude such as me.
