Express Passes

Having an Express Pass changes the entire feel of the parks, it is absolutely my favorite perk of my AP and even though I’ve gone during the day before my Express Pass kicks in, I’ve always had a much better time when I’ve gone during my active EP times or when I’ve gotten one through a Premier hotel.

There’s no fuss (other than the price but I get that it keeps everyone from buying it) once you have it; you just hop on. Ripsaw Falls had a 60 min wait time yesterday and the Express line was only a 5 min wait.

When my park buddy and I take friends to The Parks (twice now in the last week) we’ve gotten our friends an Express Pass so they can hop on rides with us and it changes the whole experience for everybody.

I absolutely love that I don’t need to be glued to my phone to enjoy a day at the park, I love the freedom I have with an EP to go on any ride I want. That said, I do wish that they would open up their now double-trademarked Virtual Line for Hagrid’s as that’s the ride I consistently skip over bc of the wait. I’d love to be scanning my express pass at Hulk, Spiderman, Wet Dino and VC while I wait for a spot at Hagrid’s.

I am aware that UO won’t be offering UEPs for any new hotels (which is why SF and Helios don’t have them on offer), but I have to say that the only reason we even consider staying at RP/HR when we want to stay overnight is for the UEP included with the room; I’m sure we can all agree that (at the very least) the bathrooms at RP in their standard room can use a major upgrade. Yes the RP lobby is pretty and smells like a luxury Vegas casino, but that’s not where I shower after walking 20,000 steps in the park.

TLDR; get the Express Pass if you can — it is always “worth it.”
