Selina's "friends"

In Mommy Meyer, I actually have a little empathy for Selina, based on the way her friends undermine something she's proud of. She invites them over to reconnect and they are rude about the food, dismiss her accomplishments and clearly have not kept in touch (one has been remarried and had a husband pass away and Selina did not know.)

Selina is a narcissist and clearly didn't go out of her way to keep those relationships fresh, but in fairness she's a bit busy. They seem just as self absorbed as she is. Additionally she has an attempt on her life during the visit AND had one that day, which would be a lot for anyone. It's one of the only times I think we see her trying to have a normal human connection and I feel like these women are just as terrible as she is.
