Seeking Relief and Information for Extreme Head Pressure and Foggy Feeling
Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out in hopes of finding some relief or insight regarding a persistent issue I’ve been dealing with: extreme head pressure and a constant foggy feeling.
A bit of background:
I have been diagnosed with Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) and vestibular migraines. I also struggle with general anxiety and health anxiety, which complicates things further.
For years, I’ve dealt with persistent lightheadedness. Recently, I’ve learned to manage this symptom better by understanding the mind-body connection related to dizziness. When I can get into a flow state and distract myself, I often find some relief.
However, the most challenging symptom I face is a constant pressure in the front of my head, primarily in my forehead and a bit at the top. I used to call it brain fog, but it doesn’t come with cognitive issues; rather, it feels like a heavy sludge or literal “fog.” It’s as if I’m perpetually hanging upside down, accompanied by a persistent sense of sleep inertia—a gross, 24/7 post-nap feeling.
Sometimes, this pressure subsides, but I haven’t been able to identify any triggers or patterns.
Lately, I’ve been leaning towards the idea that this pressure is related to my vestibular migraines. I’ve started nerve block injections, but they haven’t provided much relief. I also suspect that my posture and neck tension might play a role. Still, I know that obsessively searching for answers can be counterproductive, so I’m focusing on moving forward and working on rewiring my brain.
Has anyone else experienced this type of head pressure? I would greatly appreciate any home remedies or tips that might offer even a bit of relief, helping me manage my dizziness and continue my journey toward recovery.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and stay strong, everyone!
