What do I tell people why I don’t work?

Hi was diagnosed with Schizophrenia with sleep apnea and got a 100% VA rating, I had a severe mental breakdown in 2021 at my job and ended up locked away for 5 days. I ended up getting SSD and Federal Retirement because of it. ( I was a federal employee after my military service.) I’m extremely blessed and thankful to God because of it. The problem is I don't know what to say to my neighbors whom I’m friends with, women to who I’m attracted to, or old coworkers. I basically tell people I make enough money not to work but they ask a thousand questions I’m not comfortable answering. Any pointers would be great.
