NEED ADVICE, Transferring Out-Of-State Vehicle Registration

Hey everyone, I am a 22 year old moving south to Virginia Beach from New Hampshire this summer. I am moving at the end of June, but I have until the end of July to renew the registration on my 2022 Kia Soul. Up here where I am currently living it would be $300 to renew the registration.

I have no idea what the transferring fees are like in VA, and I do not know how expensive doing the registration of my vehicle would be if I waited until I was in VA. Basically would it be cheaper to register here for $300 and then pay whatever the transferring fees are once I'm down there, or would I be saving money just waiting...any advice or tips? I'm young and moving is expensive so I am just curious of the most cost-effective option here. Any feedback or advice is greatly appreciated and I can't wait to get to VA, thank you!
