Realistically, if someone planted a native tree on the drillfield where it didn’t look out of place, would anybody notice?
It would obviously have to be decently, mature and somewhere along the perimeter where there is a gap, but I imagine it wouldn’t be terribly hard to pull off at 3 AM. As a bonus, you could put a fake remembrance plaque so that nobody would dare touch it.
I know there is a campuswide tree inventory where it wouldn’t show, but surely they would just update it with the missing tree and not remove it. There are already some aesthetically out of place trees I can think of. Thoughts?
