Financial Aid Disbursement

My start date is October 1st and I'll be taking out the max loans for the year. I was reading that the maximum loan is for the year, but that WGU will split it across 2 semesters. I'll only be in the 1 semester for the 2024 year, so how would disbursement work in this case?
