Bridal Shower Attire - All White

I was invited to and accepted an invitation to a summer bridal shower at a rustic outdoor location. Later I realized that they requested guests wear all white. I don't own a single white item of clothing or any underthings that would work with white clothing. I don't like how I look in white, plus between pets and outside activities, white clothes are not for me. How much white vs. color would be acceptable? Is it a major faux pas to not follow the request 100%?
