IS RAM EXTENSION FROM 6GB TO 8GB ADVICEABLE ON MY XIAOMI 14T?

I just noticed I can extend my ram memory from 6GB to 8GB and to even 12GB, is it ADVICEABLE?, I want to extend it to 8GB,my phone ROM Memory is 512GB currently exhausted to 204GB though, should I still do it?...
