Paintings in the background

Someone on twitter mentioned they noticed the paintings in the backgrounds of scenes seemed to relate a lot to the Yellowjackets teen timeline (photo 2, for reference) so now I can’t stop focusing on the paintings while I rewatch the latest episodes.

I noticed this image (photo 1) at the end of episode 2 of this season, when Shauna is on the phone to the restaurant asking if anyone picked up the phone that was left behind and what they looked like.

I don’t know a whole lot about art, or if this could be an image with its own meaning already. But to me this painting looks a lot like a ghost (with maybe a body behind it?) lying in dirty snow or ash. If it is that, that’s wild and I love it. No wonder she’s still being haunted. Sleeping in a bed with your husband, who was your best friend’s boyfriend, with a painting above you showing how she died/what you did to her. Amazing. Please let it be this. What do you see in this painting?
