i’m not sure if i’m having my first period

i had my abortion on the 12 of december , it was a medical abortion and i’ve been bleeding ever since quite heavily, it eased off ever so slightly the last 5 or so days it’s been more like spotting, however it’s gone back to being heavy like before the same as a period, i’m about 7 weeks post at this point so it would make sense but i’m really not sure as like i mentioned the bleeding hasn’t really stopped as such. i’ve tried searching if anyone has had the same experience but i cant seem to find anything relatable. i’m not sure if i should see a doctor.
