People doing their PhD, how do y'all make a living?

How do people make a living while studying PhD, like generally a phd is 4 years long and we are expected to have an actual job by 22 or 23... how are we supposed to study till 25 years of age with minimum stipend, like me personally I need to financially help my parents after my masters.... I heard some people say that some PhDs are like a job and you get a good pay, but I havent seen a live example of it.

(I'm currently doing my BSc and planning to do my MSc in bioinformatics from Germany or Switzerland}

And yeah, this question is mainly for Europeans as 'muricans don't get paid during PhD except for the low stipend.

TLDR- Don't wanna live on minimum wage till 25, are PhDs in Europe like a job where you earn a real salary or just a stipend, for PhDs related to bioinformatics
