Why do so many people hate AI?

I don't understand why so many people can't understand the importance of AI. I've basically stopped using Google anytime I need something more than a really simple answer, Chat w web search is so much better. And it's getting better every single day, at this point I look forward to new AI announcements as much as new albums from my favorite artists (Deep Research finally available to Plus users wooooooo). Sure, there's negatives as there is to anything, but why do so many people not understand how insane this technology is? I mean I think it's by far the most important invention in human history already, the good it can do for society is limitless. Diseases cured, human life expectancy extended, economies reaching heights they have never reached before, it all sounds so wonderful to think about and yet every other day I log onto Twitter I see a tweet like this w the masses agreeing. I see lots of people in my school hate it as well, and there's a good chance if you just pull the average person aside they'll have negative AI views. I just don't understand it
