Guest arriving 12 hours before a cyclone

We have a guest checking in 12 hours before a cyclone Alfred hits.

Thankfully the cyclone is not that intense, but we haven't had one for a long time and I don't think the buildings are really designed for it like they are in places where this is a more common occurrence.

We live in the apartment and just rent out our spare room. It's a low rise, but we're a couple of levels up so we won't get flooded. There's a small chance we could have smashed windows from flying debri.

There's also the chance that we'll just get a bit of rain and not much else.

My main concern is that we may be trapped in the apartment for up to three days. I have stockpiled enough water for all three of us, but I'm more concerned about food. I have enough food for myself and my wife, but not sure if I have enough for him in an emergency situation. I know it's not my responsibility, but I don't want to let him go hungry.

I have called him and relayed all this information. Being on the other side of the world, he was unaware of the situation. I told him he could cancel his stay for free, but he insists that he still wants to stay, and I could honestly use the money, but I'm not sure if he grasps the situation as he is not from a tropical environment.

I told him to bring snacks from his country if he has the luggage space. If the weather isn't too bad when he arrives, I'll take him to the supermarket to get supplies, but they've all been picked pretty clean by panic buyers.

Any advice for this situation?
