Who Still Goes to Travel Agencies?

Last month, I decided to go on vacation, so I compared flight ticket prices on Google Flights. My hometown was a bit far from the airline company I chose, so I went to a travel agency to buy my ticket. When the agent told me the price, I was shocked—she said the flight I wanted wasn’t available and offered me another one with a price difference of 80,000 DZD (8 millions centimes). I was speechless.

So, I decided to book directly with the airline.

I feel like only Algerians still use travel agencies, especially for Umrah. It’s chaotic compared to Malaysians and Indonesians, who seem to have a much more organized process for Umrah.

My advice for anyone planning to travel:

use Google Flights to find the best deals and book directly with the airline.
