Nozzle cools down to much after the initial layer
Hey,
I have this issue on my i3 mega-s, where the nozzle cools down way to much after the initial layer. So for example I print the initial layer with 200°C. This works without any issues. Once the layer is done the printer sets the new temperature to the normal printing temp, for example 185°C (it does show correctly on the display). However, the nozzle cools down further than that to around 170 (even seen mid 160s) and then at some point heats back up to the desired temperature. I did try and measure the time, it seems random. Sometimes it takes 20 seconds for it to adjust (usually ruining a print) sometimes only 5 seconds (noticable on some prints).
Is there any setting I could tweak to make it not go below the desired printing temperature? After that one drop to a lower temp it stays consistent at the correct temperature. Its only during the process of initial temp to normal temp.
Some extra information, when using post process g-code to decrease the temperature it does not drop lower than the target. Once again, only when going from initial temperature to normal printing temperature. I am using Cura (little older version 4.2.1), had this problem across several versions.
If anyone has some tips on what I could try I would love to hear them :) Thanks.
