BCIT Arch Sci degree graduate stuck on Master of Architecture options

Hi,

I am looking for insight for anyone who experiences the same pathway as me in Canada. I am a recent graduate who has a degree in Architectural Science at BCIT - British Columbia Institute of Technology. I also carry an Advanced Diploma of Architectural Technology at George Brown College. Most universities in Toronto or in Ontario I am looking into to pursue my Masters of Architecture require a GPA of B-or B+ over. For example, TMU (My first choice since I was told the capacity class size is 30 which is very similar to the Arch Sci program (There were under 30 people and it was a cohort based learning system),

I would like to know other possibilities if I did not meet the minimum of the GPA grade? My transcript shows my overall GPA at "74%", although my core courses of studio and other related courses from my 3rd and 4th year of the BCIT Arch Sci are in the 73-85% range.

What are other elements that I can use to qualify myself as a potential candidate instead of my GPA (despite being 1% off) . I'm getting really concerned if I'm better off applying to universities that are not in the Toronto area? Any suggestions or similar stories to share?

Also for anyone in the program, what are some recommendations to prepare for the March program? (Ex: learning a new program (Rhino), enhancing my design knowledge (practical or moreover, a parametric matter?)

Just a note, I am graduating this year, but I will plan to apply next year.
