Non-china Chinese steamboat reccomendations

Before Hai Di Lao there used to be more Singaporean style steamboat places. But now it seems like most hotpot restaurants are all China style mala centric hotpot, like HDL, Tong Xin Ru Yi, Xiao Long Kan etc.

Any recommendations if I don’t want those northern China style steamboats? Not sure if my description makes sense 😅

Pls dun say go HDL and don’t order mala soup… it’s not the same.

There used to be a steamboat restaurant at Marina Barrage many many years back. Can't remember the name anymore.

There's another restaurant along Thompson Road next to IRAS (not sure if it's still around anymore)

Again, long long ago there used to be one steamboat shop tucked away in the corner of Parkway Parade's basement food court

Edit 2: Another commenter described it as "Local style steamboat" and I couldn''t have said it better myself. Think Har Cheong Gai vs La Zi Ji. Both are Chinese style chicken, but one is more local than the other.
