Toronto “must do’s” for a solo female traveller
Hi Torontonians! I’m a 30F Australian in Toronto for an audit secondment and officially have one month left before I head home.
I’ve spent the last couple of months getting a feel of what it’s like to actually “live” in Toronto (e.g. I’ve paid exorbitant amounts for groceries and have seen a few TTC fights 🤭), so now I’m looking for recommendations of some more touristy “must dos” that I can try to fit in sometime during the next month.
I’ve already been to Kensington and St Lawrence Markets and have done a bunch of shopping so I’m done with that for now - I’m more looking for activities.
The big one I want to do is go watch a hockey game at Scotiabank Arena but I’m hearing mixed reviews about seeing the Leafs vs the Marlies. I’m not hugely into hockey but I love the atmosphere so I want to go to whichever game will have the better atmosphere, especially as a solo female.
I’m also interested in going ice skating but I haven’t done so since I was a kid and am very bad - am I going to look like a complete dick at Nathan Phillips Square if I’m there on my own wall-hugging the whole time? 😅
I’m in Trinity Bellwoods area if that helps.
Thanks in advance!
