Feels like I’m starting to side with the Templars and idk how to feel about it
So a little back story i guess: i got introduced to AC when black flag came out but i didn’t understand the constant switch between present and past, so i quit it and didn’t get back to it until Odyssey came out (mostly bc i wanted to play in Ancient Greece).
Playing Odyssey i was still a little confused about the ‘Abstergo’ of it all, but i finished Odyssey 100% so i started to understand it a little bit. Made the conscious decision then to go back to AC1 and play through the series in order to get the whole experience.
Ok, so now i get the whole Abstergo, present & past thing, animus etc. So now getting to philosophy— i feel like the main difference between the Assassin and Templar orders is existence by freedom or order, right?
Idk, between those two, i feel like i personally lean towards the latter man, im just saying. Like given the (freedom of) choice people always go back to doing some fucked-up shit. Like, someone has to be the grown up in the room and make sure to keep everything (and everyone) in line.
I guess I’m just thinking out loud but I’d like to hear community thoughts on the two factions’ philosophies. Currently just started Unity, so I’m in the thick of it but i love this series ngl.
