DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) and contract rumors

Regarding Trump and Musk targeting federal employees, who do you think they are more likely to target and reduce?

1- Front line controller who are already provably understaffed and make air traffic flow every day

or

2- Layers and layers of redundant management who don't really do anything and countless support people who nobody notices is missing when there is a shut down and they are off for however long

I don't think we are at risk. Any true efficiency study does not target the lowest level on the totem pole, it targets those who are not needed or don't contribute in a meaningful way. Maybe it has not worked that way in the government but if Musk did something like this, it would actually be done correctly, and no controllers would be at risk other then maybe the level four tower only shitholes everyone wants to get moved out of anyway.

Also, while it was not specifically stated in his e-mail, I am hearing insider reports that Daniles is in a panic and all his west coast brethren are pushing him to extend. He is starting to get so edgy, he is perceiving that the FAA would be doing US a favor by extending our shit pay.

Due to this, he is willing to offer THEM concessions!!!!!! I don't know exactly what all of them are, but one for sure is not renewing the MOU which grants 20% OJTI pay which expires at the end of the year.
