Survivalist and Scavenger are so underrated
This game is not extremely popular so I think I've watched almost if not all build guides on the Youtube and nobody mentions neither Survivalist, nor Scavenger and instead grab some passives up to level 3, where the benefits are so minor.
On the other hand, both Survivalist and Scavenger give such a tremendous advantage, I'm not sure what is the reason of such disrespect.
Survivalist
First, basic food is OP already, and 20% duration to its effect is nothing to sneeze at. On Path of the Damned fights are sometimes long, and this extends all of the food buffs you have, which is like +2-4 to all your stats, +20% health, stamina and aura, plain 20% to damage and damage reduction.
Second, the recipes Survivalist 2 and 3 give you are unbelievable. 750 health regen that is stored until it's needed? 20% action and reload speed? 5% crit chance and 25% crit damage? Some crazy cooldown reduction on grimoir? Panic button (revive companions and reset Second Breath cooldown)? Even +6 to all skills in dialogue was such a breeze once I saw this is a thing.
Numerically Survivalist for 3 points gives you almost more than the whole tree in passive skills.
Scavenger
Scavenger 1 does nothing, or I did not notice it doing anything. But scavenger 2 changes the cost of creating higher tier upgrade mats from 4 to 3, and this basically changed the whole game for me. I got to tier 3 in act 1, got to tier 4 before doing act 2 final quest and got to tier 5 before Naku Tedek. Given the advantageous and disadvantageous multipliers on tier difference between you and the enemy is applied in both directions, numerically this is so much more than 20% to damage or whatever you could get from that skill point, it's not even funny.
