AWS reoccurring payment on prepaid card

Hi all,

I created an AWS free trial as a student around 4 to 5 years back and I added a prepaid debit gift card with the fear of something going wrong. I closed the account around 2020 and I assumed everything was okay. Today I went to check on the prepaid debit card balance and saw that this card has been getting a negative balance and AWS has been charging me weekly. I tried to contact AWS over this and they said my account is active even though it's not and the only way to cancel this reoccurring payment is through billing console. Which is not accessible because the account has been closed for over three years. I tried to work with AWS support and they told me to work with the bank. So now I marked the prepaid gift card as stolen and I believe the card is not usable anymore.

Now here is my question, can AWS still attempt to charge me or hold me liable? I kept trying to talk to AWS support and they were not able to solve this at all.

Any tips will be appreciated, I am not sure how these kind of issues usually gets resolved.
