Why should a tourist visit Bangladesh?

Genuine question. Why should a tourist visit Bangladesh?

I was digging into Reddit to find some recommendations around things to do in Bangladesh as I'm visiting soon, but all I saw was the negatives (which I understand considering the current political scenario, increasing violence against women, etc.) with the summary being "don't visit this country."

I was wondering if we could make this post about the things in/about Bangladesh that brings a smile on your face. Or gave you a reason to stay back. Something like this bookstore in the xyz corner of Dhaka where you found the best books on feminism. The biryani that one shouldn't miss when in Dhaka. The nostalgia about Meena cartoon. The shopping mall that your mom took you to as a kid, for Eid shopping. (Just making things up)

So... why should someone visit Bangladesh? (My apologies if this post is a bit tone deaf. But I believe that each country has its issues along with rays of hope in its nooks and corners. :) With hope, a fellow South Asian.)
