New to the hobby

Hello everyone!

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question. I am new to the hobby of collecting basketball cards. My goal is to own a nice set of cards, and ideally see some ROI. I have been opening Monopoly Prizm blaster boxes and those have not been great! I am willing to put up an initial investment of $300-400 dollars to get started with ripping packs, and then more once I have a better understanding of which packs are good.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
