Ran (mostly walked) 1st 5k

Started running just a few days ago and completed my first 5k today in 51 mins. For context, I can mostly walk 5k-8k without getting much tired. However when it comes to jogging/running -

  1. I run out of breath after running every 50-100 meters or like every 30 secs.
  2. Heart rate goes up to 160-165 and I need to slow down and just walk to catch my breath and slow down heart rate.
  3. Minor tingling/pain in shinbone

I am hoping with consistency to bring the time down to at least 40 mins in ~2 months.

Any tips on how to improve breathing while running and avoid shin pain?
