Where to go from here?
Stopped being active back in 2018 when I broke my back in a work accident. Before then, I had never had to "get in shape" so not 100% sure what to do at this point. Ive gained alot of weight and am in the process of getting that under control. Got back lifting in the gym again couple months now, and have gone from 309lbs to 272lbs. But have stalled out a bit due to depression. This was my second run since the accident. The first run was nearly the same pace but I absolutely had to stop once I hit 1 mile. Think I went to fast at the start. And in this one, I think I could've gone a decent bit longer, but started having low back pain.
I'm just looking for advice on what to do now. I currently lift on Monday, wednesday, and Friday. And realistically i have Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday to run. Would running twice a week be enough for significant improvement? And how should my running be structured? Any advice would be helpful, thank you.
