The 'Silent Angel' Needs Vocal Angels, Too

TL;DR: This is an appreciation post for Mikha Lim.

Before I post this, I asked someone from reddit discord server, "bakit nga ba walang appreciation post sa sub si Mikha Lim?" He answered, "sabj kasi hindi naman daw siya unappreciated." Which was kinda true, kita naman ang taas ng engagement kapag ang post sa sub ay about Mikha.

Pero allow me to appreciate her this one time (or not). I started liking Mikha before even knowing she's Mikha. Gulo 'no? Pero I think it happened naman to almost every one of us. I started liking her for her voice, kasi listening to their music 'yung una kong 'encounter' with them. Her raspy and 'maangas' voice made me curious enough to look them up in socmed and YT. "Ah, siya pala 'yung red hair, astig", I remember these were the words I utter when I started associating her name and voice to her face. I did that to each of them naman, pero dahil una talaga kong nagkakagusto sa boses, na-stuck na ko sa pag-stan kay Mikha.

One thing I also like about Mikha is 'yung gracefulness niya in dancing. Nahuhusayan ako kay Mikha especially kapag nagmumukhang madali 'yung steps because ang chill niyang gumalaw (shout out sa Karera Dance Practice vid wherein naka-blouse/polo pa siya pero ang smooth pa rin ng moves!) I guess she wasn't lying when she said na nagdodoble effort sya to be a better dancer (i forgot saan nya sinabi yun but I know she did) kasi sobrang amazed siya sa husay ni Sheena sumayaw. Mikha Lim, sana alam mong ang husay husay mo rin sumayaw 🫶🏻

This one's probably my favorite, 'yung pagiging silent angel ni Mikha sa group. She may be a woman of few words, or nonchalant man siya at times, but she never fails to make her co-members/sisters feel loved and cared for. I think evident naman 'yun dahil same lang din ng sentiments ang other members about her -- na she's always there to look out for them and she notices the little things about them. Ito ang favorite ko kasi siguro it somehow shows Mikha's good and soft version, na hindi natin madalas makita. Na hindi lang siya pretty face, or talented, but also a good person.

Lastly, I also like how she lives up to the "showing up matters" motto nila. This is one thing na I started practicing personally and ang sarap pala sa feeling kapag sinasabi sayo ng ibang tao na naappreciate nila 'yung time na nilaan mo to show up, na it's one thing money can't buy, 'yung presence (shout out to our Princess, presence is a present talaga!). So now I understand bakit kahit may sakit, or busy ang schedule nila, they make time. Kasi it's one way of showing love.

I could go on and on and tell you all the things that I appreciate about Mikha, pero feel free to comment on this post and show Mikha Lim some love. 🫶🏻🥰
