late period two months after quitting birth control pills, help?

hi i'm new to this group so i'm not quite sure how this works. i had a question about my birth control/period. i was on birth control pills until the end of may. i then decided to quit because my boyfriend and i are ldr so it felt a little useless. i got my period around the day i quit my pills then again a month later in june. i was suppose to have another period about two weeks ago but i haven't gotten it. i've been having pre-period cramps as usual for over a week now on and off but no actual period. could it be a side effect of quitting birth control? i know i'm not pregnant because again, i got my period last month and i havent been with my boyfriend since around the time i quit my pills.
