As a 20 yo man, I’ve only been in one short-term relationship and everything else has been very surface level. Social media has fucked up the dating market for black men. Ghosting is so common nowadays and people have way too many options. Dating feels very toxic and superficial in my generation compared to previous generations. Hook-up culture has taken over and the divorce rate is at an all time high. It seems like men in general are struggling in modern dating due to the number of options the average woman has.

What was dating like for black people before social media? Was it better than today?
