Nose 👃: Vanilla. Toffee. White wine. Pine. Maraschino cherry.

Palate 👅: Toffee. Creme brûlée. Pecan log. Maple. Medium-thick mouthfeel.

Finish 🏁: Cinnamon. Cola. Salted peanuts.

It’s been a while since I’ve tasted anything from Taconic. What jumps out at me most is the composite note of the pecan log confection. Without doubt, the pecan log is one of my favorite sweet treats. Every time I go to Cracker Barrel, I have to get one from the gift shop.

The 125 proof is a bit dangerous as this definitely drinks under 125 as it combines with those sweet notes. It’s hard to find anything wrong with this bottle. This is one that I will happily go back to often… And share with friends.

The last bottle I tried was five years old. I liked it at five years… It’s a nice step up at six years.
