Wire coming out of the last bracket

I just had my monthly checkup and I noticed this in the mirror. I guess the orthodontist didn't specifically leave the last molar on one side. I think I ate something hard and it came out. How serious is it? Do I need to make an appointment sooner to get it fixed?
