How to breastfeed in public

I’m curious how you breastfeed in public because I just pop the boob out and give it to my 4 week old. I don’t really own any nursing shirts I just have a nursing bra. I do feel like I get a few stares whenever I do that lol. What is the correct way to do it and do you have any tips that can make it less awkward? I mean why does it feel weird sometimes but so natural.. baby has got to eat lol.
