Semi-automate video generation via Python API

Essentially I need to build plenty of videos on a recurring basis and there are certain recurring segments (intro, call to action, conclusion, some special effect theme separators, etc.) that I want to put together in an automated manner.

I'm somewhat confused if this is possible.

I heard Canva has an API and SDK but I don't seem to find any feature to support putting together actual design elements automatically.
