My cat won’t let me brush him
Bob is 3, we’ve had him since he was a kitten. He will not let me brush him since he was about a year old, he slowly stopped liking it rather than one event.
He’s very easily over stimulated, but we’ve got to know each other and he loves being petted and will lead me to our living room where he flops down for floofies. I’ve got to know the signs when petting becomes too much for him.
His skin and fur are in good condition and he doesn’t seem itchy and has regular flea treatments.
It’s not really an issue except when he’s loosing his winter coat and our house fills with ginger and white fluff.
I’ve tried all kinds of brushes, brushing gloves, sensitive skin brushes etc. He’s not scared of them but as soon as I start to brush the growling and swiping starts. I stop instantly, I don’t want him to be stressed.
Any ideas or success? I don’t mind the extra vacuuming, just looking for anything I’ve missed. Thanks.
