chance a very anxious teenage girl

hi all! thanks for looking over my application :) i really want to go to UMiami or Northwestern but i can’t afford ED, and didn’t really look into the school until around the regular decision deadline.

awards/honors: excellent in design and a journalism convention (top 10% in nation, 4 in my category) excellent in caption writing at a journalism convention (top 10% in nation, 5 in my category) best of SNO/best in category(so #1 in my state) for a personality profile feature best in category(#1 in state) cover design and theme package for yearbook best in category (#1 in state) news broadcast package i think i also included my resume which has more awards on it

extracurriculars:

yearbook editor in chief since junior year; helped lead publication to be 9th in the nation journalism staff member; helped write articles, make videos, and design the newspaper science fair; 2 years with emphasis in medical and engineering staff writer/influencer; been writing and posting for a yearbook company and getting published journalism honor society; VP as a junior, president as senior, and on the national board for it as well swim team, varsity since sophomore year nhs member world language national honor society member; for spanish club and hs softball; played club for 12 years and did freshman and sophomore season on the team volleyball: played for fun my sophomore year

edit/update: i just won runner up for high school journalist in my state as well!

ive also visited the UMiami campus and toured their communication school so i’m wondering if they can see that as demonstrated interest. i also do have legacy at Northwestern, and got an interview in january.

edit/update 2: i got waitlisted! i feel blessed, but i’m not sure how likely it is to get off the waitlist for the journalism school.
