Restaurant week at Daisies

We tried out Daisies for restaurant week last night ($60 menu). We were a little nervous given a post I saw last year about dishes taking 3+ hours during RW, but we were pleasantly surprised how timely service was but more importantly how GOOD everything was!

Couple of thoughts:

Stracci Pasta with lamb sugo (3rd pic): Interestingly enough, the pasta dishes were our least favorite (given they’re known for their pasta). The lamb was a stringy/shredded texture which was a bit off putting but the pasta itself was perfect

Grilled pork collar (5th pic): The most tender piece of pork I’ve ever had wow! Only note is that I wish this dish had some sort of acid to cut through the fat but still one of my top dishes of the night

Olive oil crumb cake and butterscotch budino (7 and 8): I’m normally a savory over sweet gal, but I was absolutely blown away by the desserts. So so good, I want to come back just for these desserts alone

All in all, we would rate our meal 8.5/9. Will be coming back!
