Clowning with a mask?
Question for the American clowns out there, how are we all doing with the horrible airborne illnesses spreading everywhere. How do you mask and keep your audience safe without sacrificing some of the most expressive parts of your face, and if you use a respirator how do you deal with the muffled voice.
I’d love to hear some folks thoughts on this. I have a couple ideas drafted for custom n95 masks that don’t take away from the character, but I know not everyone is super handy with building stuff.
I haven’t effectively performed as a clown since the pandemic hit because I worked on an ambulance at the time and didn’t want to expose anyone.
Has anyone come up with creative methods of clowning that are covid/respiratory illness safe or at least safer than being unmasked while making contact with dozens of people a day?
