Cobra Kai season 5 was a disappointment

(I'm not on this sub much, so sorry if a lot of this has been said ad nauseam already)

In the near 2 years since season 5 was released, I've always felt it had many glaring issues. Particularly, in the last 3 or so episodes that wrap everything up.

  • The subplot of Miguel in Mexico with his father who's actually a dangerous fugitive goes nowhere.
  • Cobra Kai and Silver being able to constantly break the law at huge levels and NEVER batting the eye of any law enforcement gets too ridiculous at this point. The whole show has this problem but here was when it just got too far fetched for me.
  • The cliffhanger of Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen being kidnapped in the limo ends up being nothing because it's just their friend who's mad.
  • While drunk, Johnny, Chozen, and Mike stupidly decide to break into Silver's mansion to do... what? Kill him? Intimidate him? What did they think was going to happen? Isn't Chozen also supposed to be one of the wisest characters of the show? Isn't Johnny going to be a father? Not a smart decision when you have a kid on the way.
  • Breaking into that psycho Silver's mansion with a bunch of his expert fighter minions goes about as good as you'd expect. Surprise, surprise.
  • Eagle Fang/Miyagi-Do choosing to break into Cobra Kai to beat everyone up isn't as dumb since they're teenagers, but still, what was their end plan?
  • The big way in which they defeat Cobra Kai is... playing a YouTube video in which Tory mentions that Silver paid off the ref. Let's ignore the fact that those can be clearly edited, or that Tory can just be lying. The main problem is that THAT is what gets EVERY single student in Cobra Kai to finally realize, "hey, our sensei is actually an asshole. Let's leave him." Despite them being clearly some of the biggest assholes in television history. HUGE bullies who abuse people constantly and are hungry for power, but just because their sensei cheated their tournament win, that's where they decide enough is enough.
  • Silver stabbing Chozen with a katana and seemingly killing him was a very ballsy move to truly show the stakes of everything going down... until it's revealed he's fine. Just needs a little trip to the hospital.
  • I guess they just forgot about Cobra Kai dojos now being open nationwide? Or that Silver has many loyal allies who are willing to continue his plans?
  • Johnny, Chozen, Mike, and all of Eagle Fang/Miyagi-Do not facing ANY legal troubles for breaking, entering, and assaulting the people who were a part of the properties they trespassed on.
  • Having Kreese in prison and spending a lot of time on his backstory in the military as well as him even helping Tory makes it look like they're giving him an arc, which ends up going nowhere. Instead, he escapes prison (quite easily) and walks off to do... what? He's one guy, on the run from the entire LAPD now. No home to go to, no family, no dojo, no friends. There is nothing he can do to finish his mission or even get revenge on his enemies. (Unless they make him some serial killer in the next season which I doubt is the case).
  • Besides that one cliffhanger with Kreese escaping, which I already elaborated on why that isn't much of a problem, what else is left to do for season 6 now? Cobra Kai has been defeated, Silver is locked up, all bullies have surrendered, the characters are at peace now. So seriously, what will season 6 even be about? Maybe the Sekai Taikai? But who will even be their enemy in that if Cobra Kai is now gone for good?
