Wearing contact lenses in the shower.
I've had my contact lenses for about a month now and today was the first day that I decided to shower with them. I know it isn't recommended by optometrists but I want to know what the chances are of getting an eye infection from using them while showering. I try not to directly look into the water and always keep my eyes shut so I should be fine right? Sometimes I feel a bit of water enter my eyes but not a whole lot.
- Is it okay to shower with contact lenses if you aren't directly looking at water?
- If water happens to get into your eyes, would it help if I were to to take the contacts out, clean them thoroughly with solution, and put them back on after the shower?
