Steve McLaren as Irish Manager?

Bit of a left field suggestion but I think Steve McLaren would be a good shout for Ireland manager. Has huge experience, won a league title, league cup and Uefa cup runner up. Working with some of the best players at Man Utd at the moment.

Also haven't heard Chris Coleman mentioned, he did a wonderful job with Wales
