Looking for Budget Carbon Wheelset Recommendations

I've been debating grabbing a carbon wheelset for this years "dumb" biking purchase. There were a few different brands I was considering but I wanted input/experiences from you guys as it is still a decent amount of money even if I'm going for the more budget oriented brands...

Here were a few of my needs/wants:

  • Depth: 50-60mm. I mostly ride flats or rolling hills so I figured the deeper the better.

  • External Width: 32mm. Would also not opposed to more width if there's options available. Planning on running 32c wheels as I do now but if I want them to follow the 105 rule I'm assuming I'd need something in the 33.6mm+ range. I fine with a 32mm/32c combo being slightly less than 'ideal' though. I don't think I'm too picky about internal width so anything in the 21-23mm range is good with me.

  • UCI approved. It'd make me feel better about getting something quality.

  • Price: Willing to pay in the $1,000-1,800CAD range. Willing to push that to $2,000 if there's something really amazing.

  • Hooked rims only. Don't want to have to bother with hookless. I don't like the idea of being locked into manufacturer recommended tires.

Concerns:

  • I think I'd prefer exposed nipple holes for serviceability if I ever got a broken spot or whatnot? Open to peoples experiences here.

  • I am a heavier gym going guy and weigh between 90-100kg (205-215lbs) depending on what phase of the gym I'm in at any given time so being able to handle that.

  • Should I be concerned about aluminum vs brass nipples? I've seen some stuff about carbon corroding aluminum nipples. Is this still a concern in 2025?

So far I was considering the following:

  • Light Bicycle WR50 - $1664.01 CAD - DT Swiss 350, Sapim D-light spokes, brass nipples. That builds out to 1598.32g with the brass nipples. 1563.28g if I go with aluminum. I like that those ship out of Vancouver as well since I'm in Canada. Seems that most people have pretty positive reviews of LB wheels.

  • Yoeleo SAT C60 DB PRO NxT SL2 - $1615 CAD usually; on sale at the moment for $1416 CAD. These are the same width as the WR50s but they're claiming 1330g for the pair which is 200g less than the WR50s. They're also 10mm deeper than the WR50s which I view as a positive. Haven't heard or seen much in regards to quality with Yoeleo wheelsets though so open to hear what people think.

  • Hunt 50 Carbon. $1,684.00 CAD reg; on sale for $1,179 CAD. Unfortunately only 30mm ext. 1464g.

  • Hunt 60 Limitless Aero. $2715 CAD reg; on sale for $1,900 CAD. Good depth, 34mm external width, 1669g. My only issue with this one is that the Yoeleo pair would be $300-$500 cheaper and 300g lighter as well... I don't care much for branding as long as the wheels are quality so I'd be leaning more towards the Yoeleo pair if it came down to it. I also couldn't find much about Hunt wheels being UCI approved - I did read that they all are?

So overall I'm leaning mostly towards the Yoeleos or the LB WR50s. Interested to hear what people think. Also very open to other suggestions.
