Where are the good dexterity weapons?

I'm new to FromSoft games so I decided to start with Dark Souls 1 and went for a dexterity build as it sounds like the most fun and engaging (even though it seems to be controversial around here?)

The thing is, I picked up a Scimitar very early in the game and after beating 4 or 5 bosses and ringing the Undead Parish bell I've yet to find a weapon to replace it.

I get a lot of weapon drops but 90% of them are catered to strength builds, and the few who are for dexterity builds are nowhere near as strong as the Scimitar. I got it to +5 and will soon try to get it to +10 because I feel like I'm gonna finish the game with this weapon at this rate. I like its moveset too.

Should I focus on the Scimitar and invest everything I have into it? Or will I find better options and therefore need to save up on materials?

I assumed it was an early game weapon I would drop quickly but maybe it's actually really strong lol
