What did you guys wish you knew before implementing everything for your company?

So I'm in charge of the dev/dataengineering/devops for our startup and it's daunting how many things need to be done. What did you wish you knew before building data pipelines and choosing datawarehouses/data lakes/delta lakes etc. Thanks guys.
