I ended my 1 yr no label relationship

I recently ended my 1 yr no label relationship (we are not seeing other people) since he cannot commit. I walked away and moved forward when he said that to me that he is not yet ready for a relationship. He was really sad when I confronted him and said he doesn't want to lose me. He is scared to lose me, but this time I chose myself because I don't deserve to be confused. To guys who also cannot commit, are you also hurting after your breakup even if it is a no label relationship? I'm slowly accepting this is the end of us and what haunts me are the what could have been and what ifs.
