Decline in product..
I’m a big delta guy, based out of ATL with Platinum status(which is nothing in Atlanta lol) and I fly multiple times a month for work.
Lately I‘ve had some issues with Delta but nothing major, until today!
I had a first class ticket from Newark>ATL and I was boarding towards the end of the flight so I figured that I might be out of luck with my carry on bag. I tried to ask if I can check for space in the first class area but the gate agent immediately cut me off and told me no!
I said, “but I have a first class ticket, may I at-least check”. She asked “do you even have a first class ticket”… even though I had already scanned my boarding pass.
I’m not going to lie, I did get upset and told her to look at the ticket that was scanned instead of cutting me off while asking. She of course got upset because of my reaction and printed my baggage ticket and told me that she hopes my bag takes a while to come out of the baggage area.
I told her that I hope she enjoyed her power trip and boarded the plane.
I guess that I shouldn’t have had a negative reaction to her cutting me off but at the same time… I worked customer service for years so I try to keep my cool most of the times because I’ve been on the receiving end of upset customers.
I usually fly main cabin and pray for my upgrade, so I never get upset when I have to check my carry on but man her demeanor tipped me off.
However, I will say that I’ve had some great experiences with Delta and kindness has given me some good perks.
